Membership Procedures and FAQs
Pick-up Day and Time
-
Pick-up time is between 3:30-6:30pm. Do not come early! We need this time for washing, packing, and setting-up.
-
Your assigned pick-up day is the same day for the entire 12 week season.
Pick-up Location
-
CSA pick-up takes place at the Farm (1170 Garden Lane, Sebastopol CA, 95472).
-
DRIVE SLOWLY on Garden Lane (under 10 mph).
-
The farm is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood. As a courtesy to our community, please use extra caution around people walking, children playing, and dogs off-leash.
-
Pink Barn Farm is the 2nd driveway on the left side of Garden Lane (you will see a Farm Trails Member sign on the fence!)
-
Reduce speed to 5 mph in our driveway; use caution as other cars will be entering and exiting simultaneously.
-
Proceed up the driveway, past the blue house and pink cottage (the Pink Barn is located further back on the property).
Parking (see map below)
-
Park in the gravel parking area in front of the pink cottage. Follow the sign for the CSA.
-
The CSA Pick-Up is located inside the Pink Barn (beyond the greenhouse). Walk from the parking area to the Pink Barn.
-
Upon exiting, yield to on-coming traffic. Use the circular driveway in front of the blue house to exit the property.
-
Please be patient with each other and exercise caution when entering, exiting, and reversing!
Picking-up your CSA
-
The Weekly Shares are located inside the barn. You will see all the boxes of veggies. Everyone’s box contains the same items. They are not labeled with your name.
-
The veggies are inside a plastic bag. Simply take the liner bag full of veggies. Do not take the box itself (we reuse the boxes for the entire season)!
-
We recommend bringing your own tote or carton to transfer your veggie bag into at the pick-up. The liner bag is lightweight and perforated. Some residual water from the freshly cleaned veggies will leak out.
-
All the boxes contain the same items, please do not rummage through them.
-
We encourage members to tour the farm with your family, and we invite you to walk around and enjoy the fresh air and visit the veggies. Please stay on the main farm roads. Dogs must be on leash.

Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if we can’t come pick up our share or if we will be out of town the week of a pick up?
- Try to have a friend, family member, neighbor, or co-worker pick up for you, or for themselves. If you will be sending someone on your behalf, forward them this link so they know the information about time, location, parking, and farm rules.
- If you need to switch your pick-up day on occasion we will gladly accommodate your request. Please let us know 24 hours before your scheduled CSA pick-up, or the pick-up day that you’re switching to.
Can I switch my pick up day if I need to?
- If you need to switch your pick-up day on occasion we will gladly accommodate your request. Please let us know 24 hours before your scheduled CSA pick-up, or the pick-up day that you’re switching to.
What happens if we did not pick up our share on our assigned pick up day?
- After the CSA pick up is finished (at 6:30pm) all unclaimed CSA shares get recycled back into the farm system.
How much does the Weekly Share cost?
- Our Weekly Shares feed 2-3 adults (or a family of 4). Shares are 8-20 different items depending on the season. Our Weekly CSA Shares cost $40.00 per week.
Can I request substitutions for items in the share?
- No. As a small farm, the CSA model is only sustainable when we give everyone the same share of veggies. If the CSA model does not seem like a good fit for your household we recommend supporting your local farmers at the farmer’s market!
Can I come pick up my share early?
- No. Farm pickups are from 3:30pm – 6:30pm. Please do not come before 3:30pm, we need this time to harvest, wash, pack produce, and set up the pick-up area.
Will CSA members be able to buy certain fruits and vegetables in bulk?
- Every year we hope to have tomatoes, pickling cucumbers, peppers, basil etc… available for our members to purchase at a bulk price.
